cotton-rib-belted-polo-sweaterdress.jpg

Stick your nose outside the window…smells like winter, right…so let’s review this winter’s must have – the sweaterdress. Now those things are totally adorable, but also totally tricky to wear. Meaning that unless you look like the models on the pictures, you better scratch them from your shopping list. Why am I being so mean – because the sweaterdress underlines your figure big time…and unless you have the body for it I don’t think you’ll feel good about yourself wearing it. Anyway it’s not something I can just pass by without reviewing, so I went through Victoria’s Secret website (again, if I may add) and picked up a couple of sweaterdresses to review for the lucky girls out there. They have quite a choice btw so feel free to cruise through the website yourself. Of both dresses I think I like the grey one better…it looks more casual to me.  But then the white one is the better choice if you want something more businesslike. Both dresses are above the knee long…which is actually bad for the shorter girls…that length will make you look even shorter, so my advice to you is to go for another length (it won’t be a problem, because there’s plenty of choice on the market). This length is definitely for taller girls and I think it will look great. Both dresses are rib belted which is the best way to go if you ask me. If you move the belt you’re totally changing the style of the dresses (which may be a good think in some cases, now that I think about it). And by moving the belt, I mean wear it lower and not higher. There’s one more thing – the belt will accent on your waist even more, so here’s another reason to think about getting a dress like that before you actually do. What else – definitely heeled shoes…no exceptions and go easy on the accessories. Simple is better. So next time I’ll give you two more sweaterdresses, but as an option for those who don’t look like supermodels. There’s always a way, girls, there’s always a way.

I’m back…and it’s fall aready

puff-sleeve-turtleneck-tee.jpg

Man, I’ve been gone for so long I don’t know if you guys still remember me. Not to mention than the seasons have totally changed since my last review…it’s autumn already and it’s time for me to stock you up with some fresh clothing ideas. I’ve picked up something that I like very much – this puff-sleeve turtle neck tee. It’s great for warmer fall days, but avoid it when it gets colder (I don’t want you to get a cold because of me). It’s nothing too special as you can see – just a normal turtle neck shirt, but it’s beautiful in its simplicity. It’s totally casual, but you can wear it in work environment without any problem (maybe choose another color though). It goes well with everything I think – from jeans (as in the picture) through formal pants, to skirts (even shorts if you like). Now, normally yellow would not be my color of choice, but I bet you can find it in something else so I won’t comment on that. The shirt itself won’t affect the shoes you’ll be wearing, but still I’ll avoid sneakers and chose something more formal (just for the record – even flats are more formal than the sneakers so anything like that + heels works). As to the accessories – I’ll lay low on them. A bracelet’s just enough if you ask me, but you can add a ring or earrings as well…I’ll skip the necklace though. So that’s about it for now. See you all soon.

Massive

multi-strand-wood-bracelet.jpg

You know, even though I don’t like massive accessories some of them do look good when well combined with the outfit. Like those wooden bracelets, for example. I mean, they sure won’t fit a formal dress or anything, but they’re great for a casual going out wear. Like say a nice top and some jeans, or some casual dress. Short sleeves, sleeveless, strapless; just don’t wear them with long sleeves. As you see you get colors to choose from so match them wisely. I especially like the fact that the colors are somewhat dull and go well with the dark wood. I don’t know about you, but I’m kinda sick of all the late flashy summer colors like yellow, baby pink and poison green. So it’s nice to have something dull for a change. Now you can combine those with some necklace (something similar is preferable), but if you decide to stick just to the bracelet you won’t be making a mistake. It’s massive enough to make an impression and adding a necklace may just overcrowd the outfit. Earrings would be nice though, but again they have to be well matched. So that’s it from me this time. I’ll be back soon.

Wow, it’s been a while again. Let’s see what I can interest you with this time. How about caps? I know we haven’t talked about them, (I’m not a big fan actually) but those things can be kinda neat when combined properly. And they sure are popular…not to mention everlasting. Those things have been around for a long, long time and they sure are here to stay. Still they’re like any other fashion accessory – if not combined appropriately, can ruin the entire view. So liker or hater, make sure you match them right. And not just the colors…style too. If you’re dressing up over the casual wear – forget about it. And I know you’ve seen suit and cap combinations, but please try to resist copying those people. And I don’t know about you, but my personal favorites are the clean, simple ones. Like the one I’m showing you - nothing too flashy, nothing too much – easy to combine and very nice looking. And one more thing – caps don’t look good on everybody. Don’t just buy it, because everyone’s wearing them – make sure it looks good on you first.

Starting with the guys this time

So, summer break is over (for me anyway) and I hope I can interest you again with some fashion ideas. Thank you so very much for the different comments on my reviews and I’m sorry if I can’t answer them all. But keep writing, please. Communication is so much better than a monologue?.
So I’ll start with apologizing again, this time to all the ladies, because I’ve decided to pay attention to the guys first. Not that the ladies won’t benefit, too…after all we all like seeing well dressed men around, right? (The more the better, if I may add). It’s yet another American Eagle item and to be honest it’s something I think every men should have in his wardrobe. Not that I mind t-shirts, but even the sportiest looking shirt will add more formal look to your outfit. And it’s not a bad thing to dress up from time to time…just for the sake of showing interest if not else. We dress up for you every time…buy a shirt and return the favor at least ones. And here’s a good start – plain design and a single dark color - nothing too scary. It’s a great shirt. It’s easy to match and it will work with practically everything – from creased pants to shorts if you insist. It’s a great summer choice and I really insist on you buying at least one. It is not gonna be a mistake, I promise.
So, that’s it for now. New reviews are coming very soon. Interested?

We’ve talked about t-shirts before, but this one’s so cute and pink, I thought I’d review it anyway. And besides, I like t-shirts. Those are probably the most practical clothes ever. They look good in combination with practically everything (well maybe not this particular one, but you know what I mean). This one’s more casual or even sporty style. It’s a bit long for my taste, but that’s just me. Anyway, it is fun, it is bright, and it is charming. And just to remind you - stripes are still here. Remember how big they were during the winter season? Nothing has changed. Now, I won’t plunge into explanations about possible combinations and what will look good and what won’t, because I trust you that much. Just mind the colors and you should be fine. And one more note – this type of t-shirts is pretty tight and follow the contour of your body, so if that’s bothering you, you can always go for the plain straight t-shirts. They look just as good.

Lots of hearts

It’s been a long time, right? But it’s been longer since we talked about underwear so I decided why not now. And I dug up just the cutest thongs ever. It’s thongs like thongs, nothing special, but all those silver hearts make them look so great. And what about the heart shaped cut up part, or the colors…pink and black – sexy all the way. What else? Well, it’s not much more to be said about the thongs, so instead of blabbing just for the sport I prefer to stop here and let you take a closer look at them. If you like them as much as I do you can get them from the Wet Seal website (I don’t know if they have them in the stores or just online). Go shop now and I’ll see you next time – it’s gonna be soon I promise.

Some more shorts

ae-shorts.jpg

I dug up some amazing American Eagle things to show you. You know most of their wear is sport to casual and that’s exactly what I’ll focus on in the next couple of reviews. So I’ll start with those shorts. Those are girls’, but let me tell you – there’s no big difference between girls’ and guys’ shorts from this type. Except maybe the belt – this one’s kinda girly. The shorts are awesome; I’m a big fan, btw. And the chequered material makes them fresh and summery looking. I like the cold colors, too – dull, easy to combine, very nice looking. I hope I don’t have to tell you that those shorts work best with t-shirts and sneakers. Colors are optional, but keep them in between the cold colors again. I like the side pockets and let me tell you a secret - even if your body type won’t let you wear pants with side pockets, try those shorts anyway. The thing is - you can get them a little bit loose so they fit on the waist – they won’t cut into your sides, but at the same time they won’t be too big in the legs (because there’s not much material there to show). It works, I swear. So what else – maybe use wider belt, or no belt at all. This one’s kinda thin for my taste – that’s entirely up to you, though. So that’s it for now, but it won’t be too long before the next item.

Something in advance

Cats: Bags| 1 Comment »

bag.jpg

I know I’ve been ignoring the bag’s reviews lately, so I decided to catch up with this one. It’s probably something you won’t be very fond of since it’s not the typical summer bag choice, but anyway, that’s my decision for a review. What I like about this bag is what I like about every big bag – there’s nothing you can’t carry in it. It’s practical and at the same time fashionable. And what I specifically like in the model is the small handle. The way it’s narrowed on the top brings me back in time. It looks like an old fashioned travel bag, but at the same time it has the today’s modern look. As I said it’s not the perfect choice for the summer season and I certainly don’t see it in combination with fairy summer dresses or shorts, or even summer suits, but it’s charming and great looking and something I can’t just pass by and not review. The right season for it is probably fall or even winter, when the dull colors are more tolerable and the things you need to carry are bulkier…you’ll certainly need something like this bag then. For now stay with the small purse like bags, but don’t forget that seasons change and it’s never too early to start shopping for them.

Can’t go without them

guys-sneackers-adio.jpg

If you think the summer shoes are just flip-flops, sandals or flats you’re so wrong. And what about the guys - they can’t wear flip-flops all the time right. So the almighty sneakers come to the rescue again. I know I’ve written a couple of sneakers reviews already, but there’s always something else to be said. And there are so many different models out there that I just can’t get enough. So now with this review I’m paying special attention to all the guys. I’ve chosen this particular model because I think it looks classy (as much as sneakers can look that way). I like the dull colors and the contrast they make with the white sole and laces. I also like the fact that the colors are easy for combinations (we all know how bad it can get if we leave a guy to combine colors) – black and white just go with everything so the room for mistake is practically zero. You know you can wear those with basically everything - jeans, shorts, even suits if the occasion allows it. So even though the summer may be a little hot for sneakers, they still are the most comfortable and dominant shoes in the male shoe market. You just can’t go without them.
